Having come agonizingly close to a #1 hit with ‘(Kissed You) Good Night,’ trio Gloriana tries again with new single, ‘Can’t Shake You.’

With the subject being that one person who lingers in your mind long after a break-up, ‘Can’t Shake You,’ could be the next chapter in the story of the couple we met in ‘Good Night.’ While the ashes of their romance are still smouldering, the confusion and despair on display create a nice, vulnerable moment.

This mid-tempo track again plays as a duet, with a 3-part harmony in the choruses and is made stronger still by the more organic production of the entire A Thousand Miles Left Behind album. Steel guitar and strings combine to add plenty of natural flow, and strategically placed accents like scattered mandolin notes keep things from sounding too dark.

This may not have the romance of the previous single, but ‘Can’t Shake You’ is warm and sincere, and yet more evidence that Gloriana is maturing into one of the most accomplished country groups on the charts today.
