Texas favorites Eli Young Band and Randy Rogers Band were the big winners at last night’s Texas Regional Music Awards, taking home four and two awards respectively.

The Texas Music Industry family gathered together at Texas Music’s biggest night at the Texas Regional Music Awards to honor their own in radio and music before a packed house at the Arlington Music Hall. Deryl Dodd and Ali Dee kept the crowd laughing all night as the hosts of the show.

Craziness continued for the Eli Young Band, who was the night’s big winner, with 4 trophies. They won honors for “Group of The Year,” “Single of the Year for Crazy Girl, “Song of the Year Crazy Girl,” and “Video of the Year Crazy Girl.” The band was unable to attend because they were on tour with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw in Australia.

“I started out drawing a line in the sand with a goal to put together a band with all members equal;” said Randy Rogers, “equal partners that’s what the Randy Rogers Band is today with Brady, Les, Jon and Geoffrey. We really appreciate everyone’s support and are deeply honored to win, “Entertainer of the Year.”

The Randy Rogers Band started out playing small venues and building a huge fan base grass roots style in the state of Texas and neighboring states before landing a major record deal on MCA Records. The band has always made sure they put on a high energy show for their fans. “We appreciate our fans always supporting us out on the road and sticking with us all these years,” said Rogers after the wins last night. The band’s 2nd award of the night was for “Album of the year for BURNING THE DAY produced by the Randy Rogers Band and Paul Worley.
