Live from CMA Fest 2012: LoCash Cowboys

By Sunday afternoon of CMA Fest, everyone is pretty tired. So who better to pump some energy back into the crowd than LoCash Cowboys? Their performance energized the fans packed in front of the Riverfront stage from the second they flew onto the stage with newer song ‘Bumpin’ Tailgates.’

I spent part of the previous day talking with their fans (you can find the video here) and one thing came up again and again: their live shows are intensely fun experiences! It is not, as the cliché goes, a “rollercoaster,” but rather like getting to the peak and staying there the whole time. The rare moments where they quiet things down, it is to deliver moving songs like ‘Keep in Mind’ and ‘Friend.’ I have said it several times before already, and will continue doing so, that if you want to be guaranteed a good time at a show, these guys can help you out. Even if you think their music isn’t really your thing, go anyway. I did, and will never regret it.

A little while ago, I used a new fan’s comments in an article, and after Sunday’s performance, more people jumped on board. Here’s brand new LoCash fan Alesia, who e-mailed me this:

“I was really impressed by how talented and creative this band was with their slow soul-touching and fast rocking songs! I noticed they have a bunch of loyal fans of their music who support them wholeheartedly. I was really blown away with everything they played and sang, especially the slow dedicated song called ‘Friend,’ along with ‘Bounce’ and ‘C.O.U.N.T.R.Y.’. I am so glad I got to see them perform because they were so great, incredible and truly entertaining to watch! I could see they definitely love and enjoy what they do and have a true passion for the music and people. I will definitely be attending more of their shows and buy the new CD because they left me wanting to hear a lot more of their songs!”

Check out some photos from the performance below. There are many, many more of these on the UCN facebook page (some of which are among my favorite concert shots ever). If you want to know what the last shot is all about, check out this rundown of events.
